The Maxwell Hotel is a Deco hotel situated in the heart of the Theater District and one block from the center of Union Square. Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's, Nordstrom and several other boutiques and galleries are close by. Within walking distance is the Moscone Convention Center, the Financial District, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Just steps from the front door is the historic Powell Street Cable Car line that travels over the hills to Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, and the Italian district, North Beach. Each guest room includes writing desks, two phones, voicemail, dataports, radio alarm clocks, hairdryers, irons, ironing boards, individual climate control, electronic locks, in-room safes, in-room movies, Nintendo games, and Bath & Aveda bath amenities. Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. Please note that this hotel is under renovation. The work will be done floor by floor down to the lobby and will end in September 2008. Work hours are M-F 8am-5pm. Guests may experience minimal to no disturbance.
