This hotel is situated in an excellent location, right in the heart of Amsterdam. 291007JG.
This is a traditional building which stands out from the rest of the surrounding buildings due largely to its predominantly green roof and its shape and size.
The rooms are medium in size but have all been renovated in 2008 to a very high standard. They are now modern in design but also traditional, with a warm colour scheme, modern features e.g. plasma televisions, and power showers and designer beds. The bathrooms have also been renovated and are in excellent conditions. Some rooms command pleasant views overlooking the Vondelpark.
The restaurant is located to the rear of the hotel and can seat a large number of diners. The cuisine is varied and the prices are reasonable and there is also an entrance on the street. This room is quite dark and atmospheric with dark wood and a red colour scheme. The traditional bar also offers light snacks throughout the day and has good views of the city.
The lobby is under renovation but the temporary lobby is medium-sized with ample seating and it is very warm and welcoming upon arrival.It has a picturesque fireplace and wood floors.
Located near the Rijks Museum, this hotel overlooks the Lido and Holland casino complex and the Hard Rock Cafe. It is only a short walk from the well-known Leidseplein with its terraced restaurants and it is within walking distance of all major tourist attractions.
