This hotel is well located for visits to both the city of Boston and the historic sites of Charlestown. (12/07:JB).
The building is newly constructed and has a two-tone brick, aluminium and glass contemporary exterior.
Guestrooms feature contemporary colours and furnishings in dark wood. There is a customised work desk with a small room for additional workspace or storage. Storage unit includes minibar, drawers, coffee, ice bucket, etc. Rooms have red suede upholstered chairs, black and taupe tiled carpeting, and taupe and gold wall covering. Bedding features a European top sheet with custom woven red throw. Also black and taupe pillow covers and bed sheet. Bathrooms have deep, warm brown granite floor, with white marble amenity shelf. Rooms include a private voice mail, telephone with data ports, complimentary high speed internet access, CD player, alarm clock/radio, safety deposit boxes large enough for a laptop, television internet access, on demand Nintendo games, coffeemakers, including gourmet coffee, iron/ironing boards, hairdryer, terrycloth bathrobes, fully stocked minibar, daily newspapers and feather down pillows.
The hotel has a bar and restaurant that serves a variety of choices. The restaurant seats 45 guests and serves a daily European style breakfast buffet as well as dinner.
There is a wine hour each evening in the lobby. The small lobby has a custom terrazzo patterned floor in three shades of taupe, black and gold accents. A customised, curved settee is upholstered with throw pillows in jewel tones and separates the lobby from the bar area. Curtains are in a silk iridescent sheer material with a wide stripe design. Registration area and lounge are open together with a partial, shoulder-high divider made of burl wood and glass.
The hotel is located in downtown Boston, one block from North Station and the Boston Bruins hockey centre and Boston Celtics basketball centre. Within five blocks of Faneuil Hall, shops, restaurants and entertainment. Centrally located, within a mile of the new and old City Halls, new and old state buildings, new and old courthouses, Bunker Hill and within walking distance of Boston's Charles River, harbour and Financial District.
